Christmas Parade


Parade Application Form (please see rules below)

Christmas Parade Rules:

1)   We are encouraging Christmas Movie themed floats. All floats must display Christmas theme with all decorations securely attached.

2)   All floats and participants need to be prepared for weather. All materials must be anchored. No burning barrels, open fires, or space heaters.

3)  Each float must have at least 2 safety monitors (ages 18 or older) walking along the sides of the float. They are responsible for making sure the public stays to the side of the road, and that float occupants remain on the float. All floats with minors must have at least 1 adult on the float. With the exception of safety monitors, all float occupants need to remain on the float at all times.  

4)   Float occupants may toss stocking stuffers, hot cocoa packets, trinkets, candy, etc., to the crowd. But NO SUCKERS WITH STICKS may be tossed. All items must be individually wrapped and no over-hand throwing. 

5) All floats need to be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens by 3:30 pm, and ready to go by 3:45pm. The parade steps off at 4:00 pm. 

7)   Floats should enter Rose Lawn Memory Gardens from Route 140 (across from Ace Hardware) and turn into the drive with decorations. A volunteer will guide you to your position. Line up will be first come, first staged. 

8)   NO LIVE SANTA(s) can be displayed on your float. Santa will appear in the last float and greet the public when he reaches Central Park. He will make his way to the Gazebo open Christmas Village.

9)   All floats are welcomed to stage for awhile at Christmas Village (please, not overnight) by parking near the pickle ball courts. Parade participants are encouraged to join the Christmas Village festivities.

10)  You are encouraged to be creative and decorate your float to to display your cheeriest Christmas Spirit!
